ROCK CLIMBING
ROCK CLIMBING AT RAILAY BEACH
(Daily: 08.00 – 12.00 hrs)
This course is for everyone it is a fun 3 hours. It’s enable the students to give rock climbing a go with the safety of been with an instructor. The climbing area is a 5-minute walk from the office. First all students are fitted out with a climbing harness and shoes. The instructor demonstrates how to belay and safety knots used. The instructor climbs the route (lead climb) fixes a rope through an anchor (safety point). Now it’s the student turn to climb (top rope) which means the rope is above the person it is very safety. So if needed to rest or let go of the rock the student is safe by the rope maximum distance to fall is only 20 cm which is only the stretch of the rope. In a half day the student experience climbs from 10 metres to 27 metres high
